Bookkeeper/Finance Manager (Part Time)

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic, responsible team player. This part-time role offers a great opportunity to establish yourself as a critical part of our success going forward.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is not appropriate for a freelance bookkeeper. This is an employed role, based in our office.

Key Responsibilities:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the day to day management of the finance function of the company:

· Ensuring that the finance function is operating effectively and efficiently\
· Reviewing practices and contributing ideas for improvements
· Day to day bookkeeping including bank payments, invoicing, purchases and supplier bills
· Managing the client bank account and transfers
· Reconciliations including month end processes and journals
· Company payroll, pensions, and HMRC submissions
· Managing the quarterly VAT return
· Preparation of financial year end data and working with the external accountancy firm
· Diligent cost management
· Building relationships with clients to understand and meet their needs

Skills and Experience Required:
· Demonstrable experience of dealing with large volumes of data, whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
· Advanced Excel skills and excellent knowledge of Xero accounting software
· New system and controls implementation experience would be an advantage
· Sound VAT and Accounting knowledge and ability to apply it to different scenarios
· Highly confident communicator able to establish solid working relationships
· Some HR experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

Salary:£22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year pro rata

Office Assistant (Full Time)

Are you a fast learner with bags of enthusiasm?
We are looking for an Office Assistant to help us initially during our super busy spring and summer period and potentially ongoing after that too, for the right candidate. This is a totally hands-on role that's extremely varied: no two days will be the same. You'll need to be a confident, fast learner who is able to multi-task.

Job Purpose
To support management, our clients and our guests to ensure the business runs smoothly.

Main Responsibilities
To support the Operations Manager with:
- scheduling and planning operational activities
- organising property maintenance as required
- on-boarding new clients e.g. writing listings
To work with the Guest Relations team on guest communications
To report and action any guest or property issues
To be an effective team member and ensure our clients and guests have remarkable experiences and our business continues to succeed and grow.

Person Specification
You will absolutely need to have:

  • Bags of enthusiasm
  • A 'can-do' attitude
  • Plenty of confidence & good communication skills

You will be:
- A self starter is who driven and flexible
- Highly organised, able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Flexible - weekday, weekend and evening work is required.
