After two years of delays, this glittering festival of love and inclusively returned to Brighton, bigger and better than ever. Brighton Pride 2022 was everything promised and more, following the theme of ‘Love, Protest & Unity’.

Brighton pride is widely acknowledged as the country’s most popular pride event. And we love it. As the unofficial ‘gay capital’, Brighton boasts some of the UK’s most iconic pride celebrations. From street-parties to headlining artists and the community parade, there is always something for everyone. As the biggest weekend in the LGBTQI+ calendar, pride events were not in short supply! Here are some of the Brighton Pride 2022 highlights!

The Pride Community Parade was a true highlight and the perfect event for families. Hove Lawns and along the seafront proved to be the perfect spots to watch the parade pass and not miss a single sequin! Chart-topping music more to your liking? We Are Fabuloso at Preston Park was another one of the incredible main highlights of the weekend. With a fabulous line up of artists including Christina Aguilera, Paloma Faith and Sophie Ellis-Bextor headlining, the space was transformed into a hub of festival feeling, and really made this year’s Pride one to beat. Other popular attractions such as the cabaret tents and Queer Town are also worth mentioning and proved to be favourites with Pride goers. The Pride Village Party was another memorable highlight of the weekend - ticket sales for this event raised funds for the Brighton Rainbow and Pride Social Impact Fund. This party combined a myriad of DJs, entertainment and performers!

For those who were looking for a Brighton Pride after party, Club Revenge was the place to be. Hosting one of the largest events on the Saturday evening – the venue’s incredible rooftop bar boasting panoramic views of Brighton’s Iconic seafront was buzzing! Pride at the Ironworks also hosted a fantastic array of events over the weekend including cabaret, comedy and live music – all celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and diversity.

With host of LGBTQ+ celebrations scattered throughout this vibrant city and an electric spirit in the air, Brighton Pride 2022 was truly sensational (not that we expected anything less!).

Until next year!
